PATERNITY DNA TESTING

Paternity DNA testing is to determine the relationship between a child and an alleged biological father. This type of test is very useful in cases of lost family members or adoptions, giving the opportunity of reuniting family ties and allowing a child to know his or her past. This may also provide closure to many questions he or she might have.

The DNA sample collection is simple and painless as swabbing and collecting cells from the inside of the alleged father and child's mouth using a Q-Tip like swab. These types of sample taking is preferred over blood samples because they are easier to collect and painless, especially for a child. And there is no minimum age for testing.

The mother does not need to be tested, but it is always recommended to be included in any test as it helps the overall statistical percentage of the results.

Considering the life altering information that a paternity test can provide, it's important to have the right lab perform the test accurately and reliably using an AABB Accredited Lab. Results are generally ready in 2 business days.
